Effect of the Spacer and Aliphatic Tail Length on the Conformation of "Side-on Fixed" Liquid Crystal Polyacrylates: "SANS" Experiments

چکیده

The backbone conformation of two different "side-on fixed" liquid crystalline polyacrylates is studied by Small Angle Neutron Scattering experiments in the nematic phase. We observe the influence of a very large spacer and a large aliphatic extremities length on the prolate anisotropy of the polymer backbone. In both situations we find a strong decrease in the conformation anisotropy of the main chain. R4sumd. Nous observons l'influence d'un tr6s long espaceur et de longues chaines latdrales sur l'anisotropie prolate de la chaine polymbre. Dans les deux cas nous trouvons une forte diminution de l'anisotropie de conformation du squelette polymAre.
